Hermans Tortoise are great robust small tortoise. Blonde tortoise refer to a color phase which breeds true and has nearly patternless bright yellow hermans. As these tortoises age, they become more patternless. They are characterized by patternless bellies, yellow legs, head and scales, and a nearly patternless carapace. Growth lines may be grown, which fades with age. 
They are an arid tortoises and they can hibernate. These tortoises will only grow to be between 6 inches and 8 inches.
